Clyde Brown

Clyde Tally Brown, 86, of 6656 High Rock Rd. went home to be with the Lord Friday, June 19, 2009 at the Moses Cone Memorial Hospital Hospice unit. Mr. Brown was born March 24, 1923 in Guilford County to the late Frank and Ollie Jones Brown. He retired after many years of service from Lorillard Tobacco Co., he taught and attended Sunday school and was a faithful member of Lebanon Baptist Church. Survivors include his sisters, Ada Lee Pickrell of Reidsville and Pauline Cook of Elon; Brothers and Sisters-in-law, Bobby Brown of Elon, Harvey Doris Brown of Brown Summit, Worth Thelma Brown of Brown Summit; Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Jack Irvin Brown and John Franklin Brown. A funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday, June 22, 2009 at Lebanon Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Wright and Rev. Don Ledbetter officiating. Interment will follow Apple's Chapel Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8:30 p.m. Sunday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
