Clovis Arnold Tyndall Sr., 84, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 27 th 2023 surrounded by family. He was born August 1st, 1938 in High Point, NC to the late Clovis Fitchelon Tyndall and Sadie Alphadean May Tyndall. He was the husband of Maria Tyndall.
Clovis was a ‘jack of all trades’. He loved bee-keeping, which he did for many, many years. He could talk for hours about all things bee and honey related. He was a handyman, always willing to help others and quick to try to solve a problem himself. He loved gardening and being outside. He had many animals over the years that he would tend to, especially his chickens. He loved spending time with his family. The titles ‘Dad’ and ‘Grandpa’ were most precious to him.
He is survived his wife of 39 years, Maria Tyndall, his children; Angela Pope (Art), Tina Allen (David), Bonnie Sparks (Ray), Clovis Tyndall Jr. (Alicia), Sadie Tyndall, and Kenneth Tyndall, sisters ;Alice Micheal (Larry), Ellen Murrell (Jimmy), Gleen Tyndall, Dean Sanders (Terrell) and numerous nieces, nephews, and many special friends. The joy of his life was his Grand dog, Gabriella, his ‘girly’, who will miss him sorely. His legacy also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, the mother of four of his children, Barbara Tyndall, his son in law, David Allen, and His beloved sister and best friend, Anne Tyndall Pattishall, as well as other family members he is now reunited with.
A private graveside to celebrate Clovis’ life will be held Monday, May 1st at 2:00 PM at Alamance Memorial Park by Pastor Reid Dickens.
