Clinton Brown

Clinton Newman Brown, age 70 of 4308 High Rock Rd., passed away Monday August 14, 2006 at Moses Cone Hospital Hospice Unit. A native of Gladys in Campbell County, VA, he was son of the late Porter Wesley Brown and Nellie Scruggs Brown who survives. He was a retired farmer. Mr. Brown is survived by his mother, Nellie Scruggs Brown of the home; sister, Lucille Brown Pickrell of Gibsonville and many close and special friends. He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Warren A. Brown; paternal grandparents, Hillary and Lula Michael Brown; maternal grandparents, Edward and Ella Eades Scruggs Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday August 17, 2006 at Apples Chapel Christian Church by Rev. C. Allen Myers, Rev. Larry Andrews and Rev. Don Ledbetter. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Brown will remain at Lowe Funeral Home until being taken to the church at 5:00 PM Wednesday where the family will receive friends from 6-8 PM.
