Clifton Phillippie, Sr.

Clifton Morris Phillippie, Sr., 87, of Alamance Baptist Church Loop, passed away Sunday,
October 16, 2016 at his home.
A native of Alamance County, he was born on January 9, 1929 to the late Ernest and Eula Shoffner Phillippie and the husband to the late Eunice Marie Wright Phillippie. He was retired from Annadeen Hosiery and was the owner of Phillippie Hosiery. Clifton attended Burlington Assembly of God.
Survivors include his sons, Clifton M. Phillippie, Jr. and wife Bonita of Brentwood, TN, Timothy Ray Phillippie and wife Diana of Snow Camp, Terry Steven Phillippie of Staley; and daughter, Kathy P. Worth of Burlington; grandchildren, Ryan Phillippie, Heather Phillippie, Elizabeth Greeson and husband Stephen, Crystal Roy and husband Andy, Richard Phillippie and wife Mandy, Ellen Worth and Andrew Worth; 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; sister, Evelyn Barfield and brother, Archie Phillippie.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, October 20, 2016 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Howard Thompson. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
Mr. Phillippie will remain at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory through the funeral service. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home and at the home at other times.
