Clifford Staley

Burlington-Clifford Eugene “Gene” Staley, 95, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 16, 2019. He was the husband of the late Dorothy Elizabeth Huff Staley and the son of the late Robert Lincoln and Ida Rebecca Kocher Staley.

Gene retired from AT & T and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He served his country in the US Navy during WW II. He was very active in Habitat for Humanity and enjoyed working with electronics. Gene was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great gr4andfather.

Survivors include his daughters, Pat Hass and husband, Ron of Hurdle Mills, Marilyn Freeman and husband, Ray of Greensboro, Anita Vigorito and husband, Joe of Greensboro and Becky Brown and husband, Michael of Graham; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and a sister, Lenora Strickland.

A service to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 11am at the Burlington Assembly of God by Pastor Bryan Rainbow and Pastor Howard Thompson with military honors rendered by the US Navy., The burial will be at Floral Memorial Gardens in High Point. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7PM on Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory.
