Claudine Brooks Johnston

Mrs. Claudine Brooks Johnston, age 86 of Greensboro, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022 at Wesley Long Hospital after several weeks of failing health.

     She was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Brooks and the late Sudie Harris Shankle Brooks.  She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Old Glencoe Rd., Burlington and was employed in the textile industry for many years.

     Mrs. Johnston is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Brown and her husband, Dennis; a granddaughter, Michelle Taylor and her husband, Clint; a great granddaughter, Emery Taylor; and a special friend, Deborah Kerr.  She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Donald Brooks; and a twin sister, Geraldine Nicks.

     The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Old Glencoe Rd. by Mr. David Womble.  Interment will follow at Linwood Cemetery in Graham.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:45 PM Wednesday prior to the service at the church.
