Claude Torrence

Claude Richard "Rick" Torrence, Jr., 62, of 802 Sudbury Ct. passed away Saturday, May 23, 2009 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. Mr. Torrence was born October 28, 1946 in Rowan County to the late Claude Richard Torrence, Sr. and Clydia V. Torrence. Rick was retired from a family business Carolina Camera in Salisbury and was of the Methodist faith. Survivors include his wife, Lillian Torrence of the home; a son, Bryan Kim Torrence of Elon; a daughter, Wendy Torrence of Salisbury; two step-daughters, Laura Bianco and Jessica Pereira both of New York; four grandchildren, Josh Torrence, Justin Torrence, Wil Torrence, & Ivan Baez; Rick was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Janice Torrence. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the son's home 104 Franz Ct. Elon, NC.
