Claty L. Hutchens, 61 of 2215 Combs St., passed away Monday March 6, 2006 at Alamance Regional Medical Center following several years of failing health. He was the husband of Beverly Bowen Hutchens and the son of the late William Adam Hutchens, Sr. and the late Pearlie Lane Hutchens. Claty was a native of Guilford County, and retired from County Ford after 35 years of service. He loved to build and fly model planes. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his wife Beverly Hutchens of the home, a son Brian Hutchens of Browns Summit, daughters: Angela Bowen and her companion Brian Durham of Burlington, Sabrina Graves and her husband Timmy of Burlington, grandchildren: Christopher Hutchens, Matthew Hutchens, Lauren Grady, Delois Bowen, Kaleb Graves, Bradley Durham, Makayla Bowen, sisters: Hazel Roberts of Greensboro, Barbara Fox and her husband Lonnie of Whitsett, Brenda Harrleson and her husband Wayne of Whitsett, brothers: Gilbert Hutchens and his wife Anne of Colfax, Howard Hutchens and his wife Mila of Greensboro, a special friend Cora Buckley, a special niece Caroline McKinney, his dog Lambchop and his bird Gabby. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother W.A. Hutchens, Jr., sisters: Kathleen Nance, Pauline Eanes, Joyce Wilson and Shirley Hutchens. There will be a memorial service at a later date.
