Mr. Clarence Eddie Robbins, age 80, of Burlington, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, January 13, 2024 after a four year battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Born in Alamance County on September 1, 1943, he was the son of the late Carl Henry Robbins, Sr. and the late Carlene Coleman Robbins and was married to his loving and devoted wife of 62 years, Mrs. Carolyn Pryor Robbins.  Clarence retired with 44 years of service as an Industrial Engineer with Cone Mills of Haw River and Cone Mills White Oak of Greensboro.  Up until he became bedridden, he was a faithful and active member of Andrews Memorial Baptist Church, where he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior 56 years ago. During his years at the church, he served as an usher, helped run the bus ministry and also assisted in the building of Camp Deer Lake in Haw River.  He loved the beach, especially taking day trips with his wife, Carolyn, to Calabash to enjoy good seafood.  He enjoyed finding new restaurants to try, reading mysteries and watching NASCAR races.  Clarence mostly enjoyed spending time with his family and was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, paw paw and brother.

Mr. Robbins is survived by his wife of the home; his daughter, Angela Robbins Busick (Jacen); granddaughter, Emma Caroline Busick; two brothers, Larry Robbins (Barbara) and Carl Robbins, Jr.; two sisters, Marilyn Salas (Freddie) and Sandy Tussing (Bill); and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Victor Brian Robbins; a brother, Charles Robbins; and a sister, Mildred McCann.
