Clarence Parker

Elon - Clarence Parker, 70, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on July 4, 1947 in Cumberland County to the late William Irvin Parker and Betty Holland Parker. Clarence was the husband to Wilma Page Parker for 43 years who survives.

Clarence retired from Burlington Industries after 24 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith and was a US Army Veteran.

Survivors other than his wife, Wilma include his daughters, Darlene Gregory and husband, Keith, Sheila Walker and husband, Lee; grandchildren, Nathan Miles, Rebekah Miles, Caleb Miles, Stephanie Lewis, Matthew Lewis and wife, Stevie; great grandchildren, Cory Lewis, Riley Lewis, Nik Brooks, Marina Brooks and Layla Elmore; brother, Stanley Parker and a sister, Betty Lou Scott. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leo, Nelson and Howard Parker; and a sister, Mary Drewery.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Darrell Massey and Pastor Mitch Cifers with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:45 PM Thursday prior to the service and other times at the home.
