Clara Sykes

Clara Lineberry Sykes, 61, of 918 E. Main St. lot 50 went home to be with Jesus Monday May 24, 2010 at the Hospice Home. She was married to the late Linwood Sykes and was born December 20, 1948 in Alamance County to the late Carl Thomas Lineberry, Sr. and the late Lillie Mae Chambers Lineberry. She was a charter member of Faith Tabernacle Baptist Church and retired from Interstate Narrow Fabrics. Survivors include her daughters; Robin Eddie Howard of Burlington, Tammie Utsman Davis of Hillsborough, a son Donald Sherry Utsman of Mebane, grandchildren; Ashley Howard, Dustin Howard, Dylan Howard, Aaron Howard, Christopher Davis and fianc Jennifer Martin, Joshua Davis, Zachary Davis, Katelyn Davis, Christopher Lewis, Jessica Lewis, Matthew Lewis, a great grandchild Hailey Davis, sisters; Mae Maness, Rebecca Lineberry and a brother John Lineberry. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Carl Thomas Lineberry, Jr. and Finley Bailiff The funeral will be held 2:00 PM Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Matthew Whitlow. Interment will follow in McCray Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Linda Vaughn 1050 Briarcliff Dr., Burlington. The family would like to thank the staff of the Hospice Home for their care of Clara.
