Clara Johnson

Clara Jane Stigall Johnson, 88, of 226 Gutherie St. went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Johnson was born July 27, 1919 in Kernersville to the late Mr. Calvin Humphrey Stigall and Mrs. Lettie Jane Everett Stigall. She was the wife of the late Arnold Rosenthall Johnson, was a homemaker, and a member of Andrews Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Clement and her husband Julian of Macclenny Florida; two sons, Billy Ray Moore and his wife Gwendolyn of Burlington, and Thomas Wayne Johnson and his wife Betty of Graham; Ten grandchildren; Four step-grandchildren; Fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; and two brothers, Everrete Stigall of North Wilkesboro, and Russell Stigall of Kernersville. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and six siblings. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at Andrews Memorial Baptist Church by Dr. Keith Moore Mrs. Johnson grandson and Dr. Tommy Willis. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at Lowe funeral Home and Crematory and at other times the family will be at the home.
