Clara Faulkner

Clara Arnold Faulkner, age 84, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at her home. She was a native of Caswell County and the wife of the late Ernest Deuvoy Faulkner. Clara retired from Copeland Fabrics and was a member of Staley Memorial Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted Christian wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Survivors include her daughter, Carol Prather and her husband, Gary of Burlington; grandchildren, Kim Scott of Burlington and Mark Michele Prather of Stokesdale; great grandchildren, David Blair Scott, Brandon Scott and Josh Prather; great great grandchildren, Taylor and Haley Scott; brothers, Oscar Arnold of Burlington and Jim Arnold of Yanceyville; sister, Eleanor Shaw of Elon. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, James and Maggie Bowes Arnold; brother, Archie Arnold and sisters, Edna Ward, Ora Campbell, Estelle Arnold, Ann Long, Elizabeth Riddle, Ezelle Cross and Beulah Woodall. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Bennie Smith and Rev. Rodney Staley and the burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
