Christopher Shoffner

Christopher Blaine "Chris" Shoffner, 51, passed away Monday, February 6, 2017 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro. A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Mary Patrick Shoffner and son of the late Robert Junior and Pollie Ruth Shoffner McBride.

Chris was a 1983 graduate of Western Alamance High School, attended Elon First Baptist church. He was also a member of McLeansville Masonic Lodge 621. He was formerly employed by both the Alamance County and Guilford County School Systems. For the last 14 years he was an Alamance County Deputy Sheriff attaining the rank of Lieutenant.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Patrick Shoffner of the home; sons, Christopher James Shoffner (Maranta) of Burlington, Marcus Jamon Shoffner and Jayme Jaron Shoffner both of Gibsonville; grandchildren, Kaydence Jade Shoffner and Harmony Blair Shoffner; sisters, Celeste "Bonnie" S. Summers of Burlington, Rosa Milton of Greensboro, Demetrich Shoffner of Gibsonville (daughter, Destiny Shoffner); brothers, Gregory Joseph of Charlotte and Darian Joseph (Robin) of Florida.

Services to celebrate the life of Chris Shoffner will be held at 1:00pm Friday, February 10,
2017 at Elon First Baptist church by Rev. James Wilkes and Rev. Lewis Summers.
Interment will follow in Gibsonville City Cemetery.

Mr. Shoffner will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory until being taken to the church for services. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 6-8pm Thursday.
