Christine Tillman

Mrs. Christine Cantrell Tillman, age 88, of 1406 Tarleton Ave., died Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at her home after a sudden illness. Born in Pittsylvania County, VA, she was the daughter of the late James Henry Cantrell and the late Minnie Lee Morris Cantrell and was married to the late Charlie Maurice Tillman, who died in 1996. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Tillman is survived by two sons, Ronald Eric Tillman of the home and his special friend, Kena Miles, of Mebane and Keith David Tillman and longtime companion, Joyce Dreyfus, of Gainesville, FL; a niece, Joan Danieley of Honolulu, HI; and a nephew, Dan Danieley and his wife, Terri, of Elon. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and a sister, Vernell Cantrell Danieley. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Pine Hill Cemetery by Rev. Dale Bailey. The family will receive friends from 1 2:30 Saturday afternoon prior to the service at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
