Charles "Tommy" Hauser

Charles “Tommy” Thomas Hauser, 57, passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family.  He was born on November 28, 1963 in Orange County.  He was adopted by his foster parents, Lawrence Paul Hauser and Pearl Dodson Stanfield Hauser when Tommy was twelve years old.

Tommy worked at OE Enterprise for many years.  He enjoyed movies at the Graham Cinema, UNC Tar Heel Sports, actor Chuck Norris, Andy Griffin Show, Elvis and going on outings in the special needs community.

He is survived by his brother, James “Bud” Hauser and wife Bobbie; a sister, Linda Grable and husband Joe; several nieces and nephews; and his extended family at the Elon Village Home.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Catherine Gail Frazier, Dorothy Hatley and Pauline Huffman.

A celebration of life service will be held at 4:00pm Thursday December 2, 2021 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Steve Glahn.  The family will receive friends following the service.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff of OE Enterprises for giving Tommy guidance and stability through the years; the staff of Elon Village Home for allowing him to live the best nine years of his life while he was in their care; to Pearl’s friends, Karen, Judy, Jane and Betty who continued to support him even after her passing and to John Long for being a best friend and roommate to Tommy for over twenty years.
