Charles Spoon

Burlington-Charles Harold Spoon, 91, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2018. He was the husband of 66 years to Violet Irene Spoon who survives.
Charles was of the Baptist faith and he retired from Associated Transport. He was a US Navy Veteran serving during WW II. Charles and his wife, Violet enjoyed traveling throughout the US after his retirement. He is survived by his wife of the home and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Clifton and Medro Long Spoon and a brother, Robert Odell Spoon.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Paul Speagle. The burial will follow with military honors at Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 12:45-1:45pm on Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service and other times at the home.
