Charles Mitchell

Elon-Charles Alan Mitchell, 62, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 30, 2018 at the hospice home surrounded by his family. Alan was a native of Alamance County and the son of the late Charles Allen Mitchell and Doris Jeanette Tillman Kimrey.
Alan was the owner and operator of Alan's Home Repair and a member of Doxa Church in Burlington. He was a veteran of the US Navy and enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing. In his spare time he enjoyed restoring antique cars and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his son, Matthew Mitchell and wife, Meredith of Greensboro and a daughter, Autumn Mitchell of Burlington; grandchildren, Maddox Mitchell, Hunter Mitchell and Kennedy Womack; sister, Yolanda Evans and husband, Vance of Graham; former wives, Susan Deegan of Greensboro and Wendy Verdue of Murrells Inlet, SC. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Chad Tucker. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 pm on Thursday prior to the service and other times at the home of his sister.
