Charles McDaniel

Mr. Charles Grover McDaniel, age 91, of Graham, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the Hospice Home after a brief illness.
Born in Lafayette County, MS, he was the son of the late James Louis McDaniel and the late Minnie Mae Tatum McDaniel and was married to the late Jean Carol Boswell McDaniel, who passed in 2008. Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during WWII. Mr. McDaniel was a paralegal for the offices of Lewis Allen and he also worked several years for the County of Alamance. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Graham.
Mr. McDaniel is survived by his three children, Karen McDaniel Hamilton of Graham, Rickey McDaniel and his wife, Dennise, of Graham and Kenneth W. McDaniel of Burlington; two grandchildren, Brandon (Laura) Hamilton and Ashley (Cris) Sodre; four great grandchildren, Vespera, Samantha and Korben Hamilton and Nikolas Sodre. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and several siblings.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Graham by Rev. Chris Howe. Interment will follow at Graham Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
