Charles Hubbard

Charles Robert Hubbard 79, of 620 S. Fifth St., Mebane, NC died March 18, 2012 at Hospice Home of Alamance-Caswell after a short illness. He was born June 6, 1932 in Portville, New York, son of Gervase Hubbard and Jessie Bauer Hubbard. He was an Army veteran and served in the Korean Conflict. He retired from a career in sales with General Electric Company in Greensboro, NC. He attended Efland Methodist Church. He is survived by daughters, Michelle Ozment of Mebane, Grace B. Hubbard and husband, Steve Knauss of Durham and Kris L. Hubbard of Mebane; one granddaughter, Kristina Emma James of Mebane; sisters, Arlene Lindell and husband, Red of Camano Island, Washington and Donna Hubbard of New York; companion Eva Honeycutt of Mooresville, NC. He was preceded in death by parents, Gervase and Jessie Hubbard and one sister, Crystal Chandler. The family wishes to thank the staff at Hospice Home of Alamance-Caswell for the loving care they provided to their father. A private family celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
