Charles Max Fox, 65, cherished husband , father, brother and friend, died March 12, 2007 at Duke University Medical Center after a short illness. Charles was born September 16, 1941 in Burlington, NC to the late James Everette Fox and the late Mary Aleene Stevenson Fox. Charles grew up in the EM Holt community and resided at 4459 Dogwood Rd., Burlington. For many years he worked as a clothing manufacturers representative and was the President of Charlie Fox Associates. He traveled extensively and worked at trade shows throughout the southeast. Charles was known as a loyal friend and an outgoing person and developed many friendships throughout the years. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Newton Fox, of the home; a daughter, Leslie Fox Fields and her husband, Michael, of Elon; a son, Charles Gregory Fox and his wife, Laura, of Raleigh; two grandchildren, Davis and Aiden Max Fields; a sister, Carol Fox Dodd and her husband, John, of Lake Wylie, SC; a nephew, David Fox and his wife, Kim; a niece, Amy Rattarree and her husband, Rand; great nephews, Rick and Ryan Fox; and a great niece, Anna Rattarree. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Richard Fox. A celebration of Charles life will be conducted at 12:00 PM Friday, March 16, 2007 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church by the Rev. Nathan Hooks. After the service, close friends and relatives are invited to the fellowship hall for lunch and a time of sharing memories. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Thursday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to St. Pauls Lutheran Church, or to Mt. Pleasant Chapel, c/o St. Pauls , 2917 Bellemont-Alamance Rd., Burlington, NC 27215 or to the American Cancer Society, 4-A Oak Branch Dr., Greensboro, NC 27407-2145.
