Charles Ronnie "Pete" Boswell, age 77, of 2323 Pineview Drive passed away at 11:10am on Monday, July 23, 2012 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after 15 years of failing health and 1 week critical illness. A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late Charlie Lee and Merle Hargrove Boswell. He was a member of the National Guard and had been employed by Vernon E. Lewis AIA as an architectural designer for 20 years. In 1981, he became a self employed architectural designer and began Charles Boswell Construction. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Billie Suggs Boswell of 56 years; daughter, Robin Dixon and husband Joe; grandson, Casey Dixon; granddaughter, Channing Dixon; step grandson, Brandon Dixon; brothers, Harold Boswell and wife Shirley and Dan Boswell and wife Penny; sister, Virginia Stewart; brother-in-law, Charles McDaniel. He was preceded in death by a sister, Jean McDaniel and brothers, Curry Donald Boswell and Joel Boswell. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Thursday in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Darrell Cox. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. Mr. Boswell will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory through the funeral service. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 6-8pm Wednesday and at other times the home of the daughter, 2529 Elderwood Lane, Burlington. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at ARMC, especially Lauren Caviness, for their loving care given to Pete.
