Charles Fischer Bivins, 85, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of the late Lois Grizzard Bivins and son of the late Robert Andrew and Mary Alma Stockard Bivins.
Owner of ABC Lockshop for 30+ years, a former magistrate, and US Army Veteran, Charles was a member of the Alamance Wildlife Club, Lakeview Community Church, and the American Legion. As a Freemason, Charles served as an Assistant Grand Lecturer and Master of the Lodge, holding lifetime membership with Bula Lodge 409 and dual membership at Tobasco Lodge 271.
He is survived by his two daughters, Jeannine Tucker and husband Glenn, and Minone Frizzelle and husband Tony, all of Burlington; grandchildren, Lacey, Alyssa and Jacob Frizzelle, as well as several well-loved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and brother, Forrest Bivins.
The family would like to express their appreciation and love to the staff of Brookdale Memory Care, Burlington, for the love and care they showed Charles.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00pm Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Alamance Memorial Park with Masonic Honors. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory from 1:00 - 2:45pm Sunday prior to the service. At other times, the family will be at the home of Jeannine and Glenn Tucker, 2156 Basin Creek Rd., Burlington.
