Charles Battley

Charles Leonard Battley, 54 of Williamson St., died on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Richmond County to the late George Leonard, Jr. and Jeanette P. Battley and was married to Lois Matthews Battley who survives. Charles loved cooking, enjoyed wood-working and attended Calvary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of the home, sister, Gayle Dan Kersh of Gastonia and brothers, Stephen and Kenny Battley, both of Hamlet. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Ernest Beck. The family will receive friends following the service.
