Charles Basa

Burlington Charles "Chuck" Robert Basa, 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. He was born in Wilmerding, PA on December 25, 1929 to the late Charles and Mary Mihalic Basa and was the husband of 55 years to Virgina Billings Basa of the home. Chuck attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and worked for AT&T-Lucent for many years before retiring. He was a US Navy Veteran who faithfully served our country. He enjoyed following the stock market and shooting pool with friends at the Fat Frog in Elon. Survivors include his wife of the home; a son, Charles R. Basa, Jr. and wife Lisa of Winchester, VA; a daughter, Catherine Ivers and husband Thomas of Hopewell Junction, NY and a granddaughter, Abigail Claire. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Thomas Basa, Walter Basa and a sister, Myra Rawls. Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. is serving the Basa family.
