Cecil "Bill" Stamper

Burlington – Cecil “Bill” Clarence Stamper, 89, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Homeplace of Burlington.  He was born on November 15, 1929 in Garrison, KY to the late William Cecil Stamper and Mary Moore Stamper, and was married to the late Thelma Rose Patrick Stamper of 58 years who died in 2009.  Bill was a retired auto mechanic and was a US Army veteran.

He is survived by his daughters, Sandy Bradshaw and husband Wayne, Dawn Griswold and husband Robin; grandchildren, Will Apple and wife Carrie, Candice Apple, Chris Apple and wife Cassie, Mike Griswold and wife Courtney and April Bradshaw; great grandchildren, Coey Phoenix, Keenan Phoenix, Harper Griswold, Norah Griswold, Ulric Tildy, Arthur Tildy and Cordelia Apple; extended family, Honesty Besosa.

The inurnment will be held at 3:00pm Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Alamance Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends following the service and other times at Robin and Dawn’s home.
