Cecil Isley, Jr.

Burlington Cecil Harris Isley, Jr. of Routh Road passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015 at his home. A native of Alamance County he was the husband of Raynelle Daniels Isley and son of the late Cecil Harris and Grace Loy Isley Jones. Cecil graduated from Elon High School, graduated from Elon College with a major in Physics and Math and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Elon and a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran. He retired from A.T.&T. as a staff manager and from 1987-2002 was a commercial and residential contractor. Survivors include his wife, Raynelle Daniels Isley of the home; sister-in-law, Eleanor D. King of Durham; brother-in-law, Richard Daniels, Sr. and wife Bonnie of Mebane; 15 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mae I. Gerringer and Hilda I. Parrish; in-laws, Rainey and Lola Harris Daniels and brother-in-law, Wayne H. Daniels. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 14, 2015 in the chapel of Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum by Rev. Dr. Dace Lewis. Entombment will follow in the Isley private estate in Alamance Memorial Park with military honors. Mr. Isley will be taken to his home on Routh Road, Burlington where the family will receive friends until being taken to the mausoleum chapel at Alamance Memorial Park for services. Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Payne, Vernon Ward, Tim Guffey, John Holland, Mack Ray and Ande Shoe.
