Cathy Moore

Cathy Andrews Moore, 67, passed away Friday February 21st at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born March 11, 1952 in Alamance County to the late Walter Payne and Marie McVey Andrews and was married to Ray Moore for forty-nine years.  Cathy retired from Alamance-Caswell Mental Health Department and then worked with her husband.  She was a member of Glencoe Baptist Church and she sang in the choir.  Cathy loved going to the beach and spending time reading on the beach. She enjoyed riding and showing horses and going to exercise class and growing all types of house plants.  She was an avid Tar Heel fan especially basketball.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters.  She loved her dogs as well.

She is survived by her husband, Ray; daughter, Erin (Nathan) Curry; son Paul (Jessica) Moore; granddaughters, Syvanna Moore, Jasmine Curry and a sister Loretta Dixon.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Brenda Page.

The service to celebrate her life will be held 6:00 PM Tuesday at Glencoe Baptist Church by Rev. Darrell Massey.  The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the service.
