Catherine Faucette

Catherine Barnard Faucette, 77, passed away Monday February 17th at the Hospice Home.  She was born May 9, 1942 in Evansville, IN to the late Orda Sylvester and Ila Graham Barnard and was married for fifty-three years to Holt Faucette. Catherine was a teacher at Gibsonville Elementary School and was awarded the Teacher of the Year.  She was a member of Union Ridge Church where she taught the Graham Chandler Sunday School class and worked on and participated with the Golden Age Committee and a member of the Richard Jackson Circle.  She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies and multiple card clubs, especially her neighborhood card group.  Catherine had a love of reading and traveling to many destinations.  She was an avid fan of all types of sports.  After retiring she followed her real joy of looking after her grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband Holt Faucette; daughter Theresa (Scott) Bell; son, Timmy Faucette; grandchildren, Mackenzie Bell, Madison Bell and Porter Faucette.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

The funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday at Union Ridge Church by Pastor Dan Ficklin.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends 11:30 -12:45 Thursday prior to the funeral at the church and at other times at the residence.
