Carroll Farris

Carroll Ballard Farris, 81, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family; he fought a courageous battle for six years. Carroll was born in Coffee County, Alabama to the late Stephen Augustus Farris and Sybil Smith Farris and he was the husband to Pamela "Pam" Richardson Farris for 57 years, who survives.

Carroll retired after 25 years with Annedeen Hosiery and also did upholstery work. He was a member of Northside Presbyterian Church where he served as a deacon; a US Air Force veteran, he enjoyed wood working and the outdoors.

Survivors other than his wife, Pamela "Pam" Farris include his daughters and sons-in-law, Mitzi Mason, Karen and Steve Purvis, Lori and Jimmy King; son and daughter-in-law, David and Mandy Farris; grandchildren, Julie, Sarah, Jason, AJ and Jake; great grandchildren, Jude and Nora; brother, Grady Farris; sisters, Lenora Reeves and Lois Kelley; sister-in-law, Trixie Farris.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Lorrie Farris; sister, Mary Miles; brothers, George Farris and John Farris his best buddy.

The funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, July 25, 2016 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jim Mitchell with the burial to follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7PM Sunday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
