Carolyn Simoneaux

Carolyn Simoneaux, 72, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Moses Cone Hospital after a short illness. She was born July 22, 1943 in Mobile, AL to the late Virgil and Mildred Nevels Stewart and was married to Bruce Joseph Simoneaux. She was a member of Welkers Crossroads E.M.C. and active in the Seniors Group. She was a "professional" grandmother who loved spending time with her family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband of the home; a daughter Nicole (Rex) McCaskill; a son David (Heather) Simoneaux; grandchildren, Sydney Wyrick, Anna Grace Wyrick, Phineas Simoneaux; a sister Brenda (Danny) Pittman and a brother Virgil (Vickie) Stewart. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Sidney Stewart.
The funeral will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday at Welkers Crossroads E.M.C. by Rev. John Phillips. Entombment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends 10-10:45 AM Tuesday prior to the service at the church and at other times at the home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Welkers Crossroads E.M.C., 3829 Old Julian Road, Julian, NC 27283.
