Carolyn Ragan

Carolyn King Ragan, 84, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
A native of Columbia, SC, she was the daughter of the late Rupert L. King and Margaret Goodman Miller and wife of the late Preston O'Neal Ragan.
She was a professional dog handler, a Bulldog enthusiast and an AKC judge.
Carolyn is survived by 3 daughters, Nann Greene and husband David of Elon, Lee Stubbs of Sanford, and Paige Walker of Bridgewater, VA; grandchildren, Austin Nicole Walker, Alexandra Ragan Walker, Kevin O'Neal Stubbs, Lauren Nannette Gerringer and husband Josh and Jenna Carol Gerringer; great grandchildren, Madison and Jorden Stubbs and Charlestyn May. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Alexander Preston Ragan, III and grandchild Ashley Mason Stubbs.
The family would like to thank ARMC ED nurse, Noel, and physician, Dr. Gayle and the ICU staff Dr. Kasa, Jamie, Taylor and Pamela for their loving care of our mother. And foremost, we would like to thank Elaine with At Home Senior Care, our mother's most trusted companion for the past year. Elaine, we love you! You touched our mother's life in a way none of us could. You became part of our family and will always remain so.
Funeral Services will be held at St. Mark's Church on Friday, July 14th at 11:00 AM in the old church sanctuary by Rev. Ben Bishop. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request donations be made to the Burlington Animal Shelter 215 Stone Quarry Rd, Haw River, NC 27258.
