Carolyn Lowe

Mrs. Carolyn Glover Morton Lowe, age 76, of Liberty, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Duke University Medical Center after several weeks of failing health. Born in Stanley County, she was the daughter of the late Lillie Mae Glover Allred and was married for over 24 years to Donald Edward Lowe, who survives. Carolyn retired from Alamance Knit Fabrics with over 30 years of service and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Lowe is survived by her husband of the home; five children, Terry Morton and his wife, Deborah, of Snow Camp, Charles Keven Morton of Snow Camp, Bonnie Farrington of Graham, Dianne Bradshaw and her husband, Gilbert, of Burlington and Angela Abbott and her husband, Brian, Sr., of Haw River; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a sister, Susan Stiller and her husband, Ronnie, of Albemarle, NC. She was preceded in death by her mother and a son, Jackie Morton. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday, March 7, 2016 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Kevin Byers. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Sunday evening at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
