Carol Wood Stallings

Carol Lynn Wood Stallings, 81, passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family.  She was born in Cherokee County on November 18, 1939 to the late Stanley Wayne Wood, Sr. and Elie Ann Nichols Wood, and was the wife to Ray F. Stallings who died in 2007.

Carol retired from AT&T where she worked for over thirty years.  She and her late husband, Ray were the former owners and operator of First Nations Auto in Burlington.  Carol enjoyed sitting on the porch, being outside and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Betty Hardy; family friend, Danny Fogleman and his family.  Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Stallings; parents; and siblings, J.D. Wood, Stanley W. Wood, Jr. and Ann Simpson.

The celebration service will be held at 2:00pm Friday, October 29, 2021 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Mike Johnson.  The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the residence.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice Home, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
