Carol Schubert Beck

Carol Schubert Beck, age 82, our sister has passed into the immediate presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, June 1, 2021.  She was born in Ottawah County, OK and was the daughter of the late Werner George “Pat” Schubert and Geneva Kelly Schubert.  Carol was married for 55 years to Larry Odell Beck who died July 2, 2012.

Carol was a member of Gibsonville United Methodist Church for over 40 years where she was very active and a founding member of the Alive in Christ Bible study and prayer group.  She loved the outdoors, flowers, mountains, camping and traveling.  She also enjoyed cooking and baking, especially cakes, lasagna and homemade pizza.  Carol was a loving and devoted wife, mother and sister who truly enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherry K. Beck; son, Randy Beck and his wife Lynne; and brothers, Freddie Schubert and his wife Jean, and James Schubert and his wife Janet.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a brother, Tom Schubert.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 PM Friday June 4, 2021 at Gibsonville United Methodist Church by family friend, Barry Raker and Dr. Barry Lemons.  The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:45 prior to the service at the church.  The burial at Gibsonville City Cemetery will be private.
