Carol Foust Sharpe
Elon – Carol Foust Sharpe, 86, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Hospice Home in High Point. A native of Guilford County, she was born December 13, 1935 to the late Fred Augustus and Ella Mildred McMurry Foust and was the wife of 65 years to the late Ross J. Sharpe.
Carol was a member of Alamance Presbyterian Church. She worked over 40 years within the food industry while helping to attend the family farm. Alongside her husband, she enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, England, Italy, Australia and some of the most desirable places in the world.
She is survived by her sons, Wayne Erwin Sharpe, Wesley Alan Sharpe (wife – Leslie Sharpe), sister, Fuschia Foust Adams of Wilmington, NC and many nieces, nephews and extended family. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and sister, Faye Foust Scruggs.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, November 7, 2022 at Alamance Presbyterian Church by Pastor Jess Rigel with the burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:15pm-1:45pm prior to the service in the sanctuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Dr., High Point, NC 27262 or to Alamance Presbyterian Church, 4000 Presbyterian Rd, Greensboro, NC 27406.
