Carlos Guzmán Lora

Carlos Manuel Guzmán Lora, age 29, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2019, surrounded by family and friends. He was born on May 17, 1990 in La Vega, Dominican Republic to Fe Flor Violeta Lora Arias and Carlos Manuel Guzmán Lora, and was the husband to Laura Sizemore Guzmán for one year who survives.

Carlos was a proud industrial engineer who held many diverse positions of employment over the years, most recently as a contracted employee working as a Master Data Analyst for McKesson pharmaceuticals.

Along with his wife, Laura Sizemore Guzmán, survivors include his mother, Fe Flor Violeta Lora Arias, his father, Carlos Manuel Guzmán Lora, his sister, Meribeth Salem Guzmán Lora, godmother, Andrea Infante Gonzalez, mother-in-law, Dee Calton Sizemore, father-in-law, Alva Joe Sizemore Jr, brother-in-law, William Joseph Sizemore with wife Ashley Paige Sizemore, brother-in-law, Christopher Whit Sizemore with fiance Maggie Maultsby. He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Gibran Guzmán Lora.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 4:00 pm at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 4:30pm-6:00pm with a reception directly after the service.
