Carleen Atkins

Carleen Elizabeth Ingle Atkins, 89, of Elon passed away on Monday, February 9, 2015 at White Oak Manor. She was born in Guilford County to the late Jeter Boyd and Beulah Graber Cooke Ingle and was married for 57 years to Wesley Atkins. She is survived by her husband, daughters, Cheryl Ann Al Vogler of Graham, Renee Barber of Greensboro; son, Ray Susie Atkins of Elon; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren, and a sister, Ruth Hawk of Browns Summit. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Caroline Perry and brother, Clarence Ingle. The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by her nephew, Pastor Wesley Price. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Piedmont Senior Health Care, 1214 Vaughn Rd., Burlington, NC 27217.
