Carl J. Saconn, 89, passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021. He was born in Buffalo, New York to the late Anthony and Mary Saccone.
Carl was an entrepreneur, a multifaceted methodic and resourceful individual that insisted on perfection in all his endeavors. He was a jack of all trades. While often contrarian, he held sound beliefs that stimulated pause and reflection on his words. He was simple yet complicated. He instilled the importance of setting oneself apart from the masses. He was a libertarian, veteran of the navy and a patriot at heart. He instilled a strong work ethic, the virtues of principle and discipline and the motto to be the best in your trade. He required effort for reward, but was always freely giving to those in need. He most enjoyed cooking, baking and dancing in no particular order. He met his wife Caroline of over 50 years at the age of 15 at a dance, and died wishing to reconnect with her.
Survivors include his eldest son Carl Saconn and wife, Lucy of Burlington, Suzanne Blanchard and husband, Keith of Burlington, David Saconn and Velinda Isley of Elon, Dr. Paul Saconn and wife, Sarah of Hilton Head, South Carolina and Rachel Reid of Burlington; his numerous beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A private service will be held in memoriam followed by entombment at Alamance Memorial Park.
