Bryant Eugene Forbis, age 83, of 1206 Dogwood St. passed away Friday, September 19, 2014 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of the late Ruby Massey Forbis and son of the late Dolphus Cleo and Cora Cox Forbis. He was a member of People's Memorial Christian Church where he had served as a Deacon. He was retired from Lucent Technologies. Survivors include his sons, Mike Forbis and wife Anne, Steve Forbis and wife June, Doug Forbis and wife Denise; daughters, Penny Taylor and husband Charlie and Melanie Forbis, all of Burlington; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Nancy Lambert and husband Harold of Dunn and Margie Kimrey of Haw River. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Monday, September 22, 2014 at People's Memorial Christian Church by Rev. John Shields, pastor and Rev. Gerald Collins. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory from 3-5pm Sunday. At other times the family will be at the home. Memorials may be made to People's Memorial Christian Church, "Missions Fund", 247 NC 87, North, Burlington, NC 27217 or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd. Burlington, NC 27215.
