Burlington, NC Brodie Lee Webster, age 79, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Wesley Long Hospital surrounded by his family. He was a native of Caswell County and the husband of 54 years to Madeline Parker Webster who survives. Brodie retired from Burlington Industries after 49 and half years and was a member of Stony Creek Presbyterian Church. He was a veteran of the US Army. Brodie was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather and great, great grandfather. Survivors include his wife of the home; Madeline Parker Webster; daughter, Dianne Lee Madden and her husband, Gordon of Snow Camp; sons, Timothy Dale Webster and his wife, Lori of Haw River and Mark Joel Webster and his wife, Tammy of Burlington; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great great grandson; sisters, Lucille Massey of Burlington and Grace Vernon and her husband, Warner of Lincolnton, NC; brother, James Leon Webster and his wife, Fayedeen of Youngsville, NC. He was preceded in death by his son, Terry Lee Webster and parents, Dewey Thomas Webster and Sallie Murray Webster; sisters, Thelma Louise Webster, Bessie Mae Webster and Mary Lois Webster. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Randy Wellford and the entombment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday and other times at the home.
