Brodie Rudd

Elon-Brodie Allen Rudd, 60, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 7, 2018. He was a native of Alamance County and the son of Walter Franklin and Marie Cook Rudd who survive.
Brodie was employed for many years with K-Mart and Walmart. He was a member of Hope Church formerly Brookwood Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Western Alamance High School class of 1976. Brodie joined the US Navy out of high school and served for 8 years aboard the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy, attaining the rank of 2nd class Yeoman. He was known as a very generous person, willing to give someone the shirt off his back. He, along with his mom and dad, delivered Meals on Wheels for many years. Brodie enjoyed yard sales and spending time outdoors.
Survivors include his parents of Elon; sisters, Janice Rudd Clayton and husband, Douglas of Hurdle Mills and Gloria Rudd Beaver and husband, Milton of Cleveland, NC; brother, James Rudd of Burlington; numerous nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Gary Gates. His burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The US Navy will provide honors at the graveside. The family will receive friends from 9:45-10:45 am prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of his parents.
