Brenda Jones

Burlington Brenda Qualls Jones, 61, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 18, 2014 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born on December 28, 1952 to the late Robert William Qualls, Sr. and Gelina Cornelia Montgomery Qualls Couch and was the wife of 43 years to the late Roy "Buck" Paschal Jones. Brenda was a longtime member of Altamahaw Baptist Church and retired from Carolina Biological. She was devoted to her family and loved her grandchildren. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting. Survivors include her daughters, Misty Ward and husband, Bill of Elon, Keela Hyatt and husband, Dr. Todd Hyatt of Whitsett, Miranda Hamlett and husband, Don of Burlington and Brianna Ford; grandchildren, Tripp Simmons, Taylor Shotwell, Coy Whitesell, Sabrina Loy, Brea McIver, Laci Ward, Dalton Hamlett and Gavin Hamlett; sisters, Shirley Phillips and husband, Dr. Charles Phillips of Gibsonville and Judy Hall and husband, David of Graham; brothers, Robert W. "Bobby" Qualls, Jr. and wife, Mary Ann of Troy and Kenny Qualls and wife, Vicki of Graham and her step-father, Ervin Couch. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband. A service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00pm on Monday, July 21, 2014 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Andrew Buehner . The family will receive family and friends from 3-5pm on Sunday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
