Bratcher Franklin Riley, age 87, of 207 E. Jackson St., passed away Sunday January 21, 2007 at White Oak Manor. A native of Orange County, he was husband of the late Annie Massey Riley and son of the late William Henry and Sarah Wilson Riley. He was retired from Old Dominion Box Co., an Army Veteran of WW II and a member of Riverside Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School for many years. Survivors include 2 daughters Sarah Lynch and husband Smokey and Brenda Ray and husband Junior all of Mebane; 4 grandchildren, Melissa Holland and husband Rob, Wynenda Riggs and husband David, Michelle Dorminy and husband Brett and Selena Ray; 7 great grandchildren and brother, Marvin Riley of Efland. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and 8 siblings, Willie Riley, Lawsie Riley, Tyson Riley, Luchen Riley, Mamie Snipes, Mary Taylor, Grover Riley and Ollie Riley. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday January 24, 2007 at the Riverside Baptist Church by Rev. Curtis Oakley and Rev. Terry Farmer. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Mebane. Mr. Riley will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory until being taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the funeral service. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 7-9 PM Tuesday and at other times the home of Sarah Lynch; 907 S. Fifth St., Mebane. The family would like to express a special thanks to their dads caregivers Fay Kirkpatrick and the staff of White Oak Manor. Memorials may be made to Alzheimers Disease Research Foundation; 2200 E.
