Brady Lowder, Jr.

Elon-Brady Carl Lowder, Jr, 90, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. He was a native of Stanly County and the husband of 63 years to Ada Sue Swaringen Lowder who survives.
Brady retired after 30 years with Western Electric/Lucent Technology as an Engineer Associate. He was a former High School teacher and professor at Wingate University. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Elon where he served as a former Sunday School teacher, Deacon and Choir Member. Brady was a veteran of the US Navy serving on the USS Randolph. He enjoyed wood working and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of the home; Susie Lowder; son, Brady Michael "Mike" Lowder and wife, Jan of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren, Brad Lowder and wife, Dee; Christina Mohanani and husband, Vijay; great grandchildren, Jordan Bradley Lowder , Camden Brady Lowder, Dylan Sutton and wife, Erica and Ashlie Sutton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Brady Carl Lowder, Sr. and Gertrude Moore Swaringen Lowder; sons, James Wesley Lowder and Phillip Lynn Lowder; brother, David Philmore Lowder; Sisters, Mary Campbell and Sue Jean Clark.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Elon by Dr. Mason Smith and Rev. David Durham. The burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Elon with military honors by the US Navy. The family will receive friends from 3-5 pm on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
