Burlington-Boyd Dean Lougee, 64, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 28, 2018.
He was a native of Alamance County and the husband of 35 years to Rosa Slaton Lougee who survives.
Boyd was the owner and operator of Superior Duplication Services. He was the past President of the Hawfields Civitan Club and a member of Faith Worship and Healing Center. Boyd was a talented trumpet player often donating his time and talent to play taps at veterans events. He was an avid Duke fan and loved animals especially his canine companion "Bear" and feline companion "Bella". Boyd was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Rosa Slaton Lougee of the home; daughter, Deana Maskill and husband, Raymond of Burlington; son, Scott Morris of the home; grandchildren, Tony Morris and wife, Tabby, Tyler Morris and Trinity Morris; great grandchildren, Jaxxon Morris and Brysen Morris and his fur grandbabies, "Luna", "Ziggy" and "Buddy". He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman "Woody" Hastings Lougee, Jr. and Edith Brantley Lougee and a brother, Dana Hastings Lougee.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Joel Jackson and Rev. Richard Eller, Jr. The burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:45-2:45 PM at Lowe Funeral Home and other times at the home.
