Bonnie Smith

Bonnie Faye Roberts Smith, 62, 4435 High Rock Rd. went home to be with the Lord Monday, May 18, 2009 at the Beacon Place. Mrs. Smith was born April 2, 1947 in Guilford County to the late Brice & Blanche Nance Roberts, one of eight children. She was employed with Allen Bradley for 10 years and Replacements, Ltd. and was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was extremely family oriented and loved spending as much time with them as possible. Before her health begin to fail, she enjoyed cooking and playing with her grandchildren. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 43 years, Richard James "Rick" Smith; two sons, Ricky Fulton Smith and his wife, Sheryl of Brown Summit and Chadwick Everette Smith and his wife, Melissa of McLeansville: five grandchildren, Zachary Smith, Bryson Smith, Taylor Smith, Everette Smith, and Ethan Smith; three brothers, Barry Roberts, Larry Roberts Traci, and Gary Roberts Sherree; four sisters, Barbara Gaskins Tommy, Becky Adams Bobby, Debbie Roberts , and Brenda Robert; three sister-in-laws, Margaret Grimes, Colleen Cowan, and Bernice Stasik; and best friend, special aunt, Lou Roberts; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2009 at Lebanon Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the church and other times at the home.
