Mrs. Bonnie Britt Ring Conklin, age 94, formerly of NC Hwy 87 N. passed away Sunday, August 1, 2010 at The Oaks of Alamance after several months of failing health. Mrs. Conklin was born in Moore County to the late Daniel and Hattie Morgan Britt and was married to the late Glenn Mathew Ring, who died in 1952 and her second husband, L.L. Conklin, who died in 1990. Bonnie retired from Glen Raven Mills after 20 years service and was a member of Altamahaw Baptist Church for over 70 years. Survivors include her daughter, Bonnie Ethel Sharpe and her husband, Larry, of Gaffney, S.C; a son, Larry A. Ring and his wife, Ellen W., of Gibsonville; eleven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two daughters-in-law, Becky Ring of Snow Camp and Mickie Ring of Burlington; and two half brothers, Coy Lee Freeman of Concord, NC and Clifford Freeman of Newport News, VA. Mrs. Conklin was preceded in death by both of her husbands; her parents; and two sons, Joseph Daniel Ring and David Glenn Ring. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Altamahaw Baptist Church by Dr. Steve Tucker and Rev. Walter Jones. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends form 6-8 Monday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home of her son, 207 Travis Lane, Gibsonville.
