Bobby Webster

Bobby Earl Webster, age 73, of 312 Apple St., died Saturday, October 10, 2009 at his home after several months of declining health. A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late Lonnie Ashburn Webster and the late Geneva Cobb Webster and was married to the late Geraldine Andrews Webster, who died in 1984. Mr. Webster was a U.S. Army Veteran and served in the Korean era. He retired from the Proctor and Gamble Corporation with over 15 years of service and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Gibsonville. He was a member of the V.F.W. of Gibsonville and also was a former member of the Gibsonville Jaycees. Mr. Webster is survived by his son, Tony E. Webster of Gibsonville; two sisters, Dorothy Drewery of Gibsonville and Norma Puckett of Brown Summit; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; three sisters, Ruth Kannups, Winston Drewery and Mable Prince; and three brothers, Lonnie Webster, Jr., C.A. Webster and Donald Webster. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Brian Ayers. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 Monday evening and other times at his son, Tony's home, 606 Meadow St., Gibsonville.
