Bobby Sutton

Bobby Lee Sutton, 77, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014 at the Hospice Home after six months of failing health. He was born in Alamance County to the late Lewis Marion Sutton, Sr. and the late Myrtle Williams Sutton. He was the husband of 48 years to Peggy Jean Cobb Sutton who survives. Bobby retired after 42 years with Cone Mills and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and he had a nickname, "Muskrat". Survivors other than his wife of the home include his son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Desha Sutton of Graham; daughter, Tracey Denise Sutton of Burlington; granddaughters, Jasey Scott Sutton and Baley Brianna Sutton; brother and sister-in-law, Clyde and Pat Sutton; sisters, Margaret Petty and Jessie Lowe. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Patsy S. Garner; brothers, Marion Sutton, Jr. and William David Sutton. The funeral service will be held 11:00AM Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Chuck Perkins and Rev. Curtis Pruitt. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8PM Friday night at the funeral home and other times at the home.
